Default 2002 Zx7R chocke question

Hi Fellas,

I have a quick question regarding my new bike. Here is a little background information first:

2002 Kawasaki zx7r - 7436 miles
D&D slip on

Everything else is stock. On my previous bike, if I played with the choke the RPMS would vary from 1k all the way to 5k depending on how much choke I gave it. On this new bike...it seems like it might be mis adjusted. If I do full choke the RPMs still never go past 2k and the bike will sometimes stall when it's really cold out even with the choke maxxed out.

So my question is....does this sound normal? and if not, how can I adjust the choke cable?

Thanks

-Vaedyn

How much travel is there on the choke lever before you feel resistance ?

The choke cable adjuster should be under the air box.

It feels like it starts to kick in about 1/4 of the way down. Will I be able to reach the adjuster without taking the tank off?

No tank removal required

Don't worry about it. My bike only goes to 2.5k or 3k when choked.

You have to take the tank and airbox off to get to the choke cable adjusters.
