Default Can I get some trouble on a manual?

I have a 1981 Kawasaki KZ250 CSR and was wondering if a manual of a 1981 Kawasaki KZ250 LTD would work. Are they the same engine because I have to pull the piston and put new rings in the thing. I was look at a manaul on ebay but it is for an 81' KZ250 LTD instead of a KZ250 CSR. Would that make much of a difference?

They are the same bike, only differences are cosmetic.

Hi Greeenhorn18.

My wife has a 1981 Kawasaki KZ250 CSR LTD. We are also looking for a repair manual. Just out of curiosity, how much did that manual run you? Just wondering if the price for the one I'm looking at is in the right ball park.

Default manual

On ebay I picked it up for about $21.50 with shipping and everything.

Thank you!

That's about what I think would be a reasonable price, someone on ebay is looking for $35 with S/H - a bit high. Especially since I only need the section on setting the carburetor.

I appreciate the feedback.

Just so u know there is no adjustment on that carb. The air-fuel screw is sealed.

Think back to your childhood, didn't you always want to do what someone told you that you weren't allowed to do.

There's a long winded story about an early 70's Imperial that sure looked like it was abandoned... but thats' another topic along the riverbank.

Like you can't adjust your mixture screw if you are in the U.S.A.

We can do anything we want until they implement a sniffer test. Just for that, I'm going to take the end cap off the Kerker and show the straight pipe guys what a real bike sounds like!

We have the sniff test already...

Oh wait, the techs can't safely tie down a bike to a cage dyno...
Mmm, no test.

Also, more than 20 years old, mmm, no test.

Also, engine installed was not offered by the oem as an option...

Mmm, no test.

I had to get new plates, as we moved to a new state. They come out and check the VIN # and also write down the engine # on the paperwork. The woman asked me why the frame was stamped 650 but the motor says 750. I told her the engine wasn't big enough and I had a new one put in. She smiled and handed me my paperwork and told me that was an original answer.

I have an '80-'81 KZ250C1/C2/D1/D2/G1/G2 Factory Origianal Kawasaki Service Manual for sale. It's $20.00 plus postage. This is the same manual as used by the dealer mechanics AND NOT A CLYMER but original. If anyone wants it let me know.
