zxr 750h1 idle prob

hello i have an zxr750h1 that runs fine when you pull away and at all revs apart from idle.i have cleaned the carbs out and even replaced them to no eval.the choke is also very on or of and the throttle doesnt shut of quickly.it has new plugs,fuel,ht leads,caps,filter but what ever i try it makes no change! It's not firing on number 3 cylinder at all untill you start to let the clutch out and put it under load.you can get it to idle a little better by blocking the air intake.this has got on my nerves so much that i left the bike in a chicken shed for 8 years but now im ready for round 2.i like the bike and dont want to give up so any help would be great.thanks:

For starters I am no mechanic,,, but it sounds like a vacume issue to me,,,check your vacume line,,, and any vent tubes ya may have pinched off,,,just going from my own issues,,,that might help the idle issue but the #3 not firing,,, I am not sure,,,Some one on here might have a clue,,,they usually do,,,,hope it helps MB

i just checked the valves to find two staying open and only seven correct. so im hopping ive found the prob.wouldn't think this would have been needed at 16000 kilom.so yes it was compression.thanks for the ideas.
