It did, but sometimes it went around and the wheel stayed stationary. I can't believe that front sprocket couyld even pull the chain. The teeth were raked OPPOSITE the direction of travel, so I think it was just sheer friction that got it moving. Only let me down once, a week ago, after a 150 mile road trip, just two blocks from home. Viva Kawasaki!

There's so many ways to kill yourself on a bike. I think those sprockets are called "suicide".

I had no idea they were that bad until the chain started to slip even when I had it tensioned right. A word of warning to all newbies out there buying old bikes to save $ on gas, etc: check your sprockets and chain, I was lucky. Now, lets talk about Pih-KAHNs some more eh? At least that's what we call em in my neck of the woods.

We could always talk about insurance, $850 per year for me: age 34, married, 2 kids (almost, 2nd due any minute), house, 1 speeding ticket (10 mph over) 2 years ago, rider safety course graduate. From the same company that holds my life insurance, home and auto insurance. About $50 cheaper than any other broker.

I AM Canadian (aka overtaxed and insurance poor).

I pay $140 per year. No tickets, afraid the damn thing will blow up over 80mph.

No rider safety course thats recent enough for them to count it and no tickets. Insurance was $55 this year. 15% increase over last year.

Is that for full coverage?

Are you kidding? If I have a wreck they're just gonna say it's totaled and who's gonna do the work on it even if they could find the parts.

I'd help you rebuild it, but I'm probably not qualified.
