fan stays on

hi, new to form need ideas on why fan stays on its a 2006 VN750 any ideas would be great

Does it stay on after you turn the key off? If it stays on after you push the off button, that's normal. If it stays on after the key is off, there is a problem.

the fan stays on when the key is off. there is no shorts between the fan switch and junction box. battery acid got on junction box, I think messed it up, not sure how expensive it is

Not sure if yours is supposed to or not but some bikes the fan will come on even with the key off if it gets too hot.

my 500R almost always used to come on after the key was off when it was hot.
