Default 90s Balius 250cc; Need help with hard start (Elec); need Mechanical Tips too. Thanks

Hi All
Newbie here, Nice to know a place to get information, Thank you.
I'm also a newbie with the engine displacement (used to riding smaller MCs, & cars).

I have this 90s model Balius 250cc, maybe someone can give some help with this hard start issue that this MC is having. It looks like it's electrical since I took it to a Mechanic and he tried about 2 new Batteries with same results.
He is thinking that it could be the starter (bushings).
The Starter he said sounds it doesn't spin as fast as it should.

Could it be a wiring problem too?

BTW if someone can also please give any Mechanical maintenance tips as well

Thank you so much.

I can't help, but if you have a picture of this incredible machine, could you post it? And does it really redline at 21k?

I just found this model a week ago. It was never offered in the States, but I would love to see one in person. It has everything I would want in a dream bike.

I haven't got the opportunity yet to try its limits.
It's a learning MC for me, and I hope a gas saver
Streets here are normally small, and I need the light weight for now.

The starter is grounded to the engine by nature of the mounting bolts. The main ground wire from the battery to the frame of the bike is the most important. Make sure it is clean (sandpaper or emery cloth) and tight enough that it can't be moved by tugging on it.

http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...ing-guide.html

Get a manual. Buy one. Borrow one. Steal one. You shouldn't be allowed to own a motorcycle without one.

If your starter solenoid has burnt tips, you may have a slow starter, though it is unlikely.

Good luck.

Will again continue find that needle on the i-net. Still looking for a manual.
I was hoping someone could point the way how this starter can be removed.
Maybe this engine has a twin or has similarities.
Someone told me it could be the starter carbon brush needs replacement.

Here's the pic of the side of eng where the starter is

Where do I point the gas valve at?

Is the one you're asking?

You have the gas valve on RES which means if you run out of gas you're stuck where you are. Normal running should be pointing straight down to RUN. Then when you start to run out of gas you can turn it to RES and head to the nearest gas station. Turn it 180 degrees.

Guys I may have done something bad
I used a car engine coolant ("Whiz" by Malco, color red)
Is it too strong for a motorcycle?

Here's a pic, on bottom right it ate the sealant

I like the looks and styling. Looks similar to a crotch rocket but at the same time with standard bars maybe you don't have to ride in the fetal position.

Thanks

What do I need to change to make it faster, other than the sprockets? It's already screaming at about 7k RPM only 100kmh

Worried I'll cook the engine

Sprockets or tire size. Don't make too big of a change with the sprockets because you loose bottom end take off power for the gains you get on the high end.

I think sprockets I have are 16t and 40t. I guess this MC isn't really designed for speed If can just get it up to 150kph.
Am thinking replacing the headers since their rusty and clutch sliding, I may worn out the clutch line since am afraid of engine turning off since it wont start. Although I may have fix the problem by grounding the Batt on the frame.

My mechanic found a clicking sound when the rpm reaches about 8k-above
He said it needs a Camshaft repair, cam chains

I recently put fully synth oil 10w-60,

320ml friction modifier PERTUA.COM - PER'TUA

Changed Oil Filter using one that matches the thread (Part15400.PLC.004) For Honda Civic, Accord, etc.

http://japanautomobileparts.com/imag...805%20a002.jpg

Clicking sound still there, but maybe it's less noisy.

Can I still safely use it, put the engine at high revs? about 11k rpm

Thanks
