Smile 1981 440 ltd carb question

hey guys i just bought a 1981 440 ltd in great shape for just over 600.00 only has 10,000 miles on it looks good and runs great my question is when the motor isnt running one of the carbs drips a drop of gas about every 3-4 minutes out of the overflow tube the guy i got it from told me about this and said there was an o-ring inside there that needed to be replaced and he couldnt find the ring localy or he would have changed it. it doesnt drip when the bike is running or when you are riding it only when the bike is sitting any idea's? i am gonna take the bowls off this weekend as soon as i get room cleaned out in the shop to check it out and have a look see just thought i would see what you guys thought . the bike runs excellent other than that

Float height is off or the float valve is dirty/worn.

Bending the tang on the float is how you adjust the height. You need to check the service manual for the proper float height. Yes that is the valve.

hey we are in the process of rebuilding the carb on my 1981 kawasaki 440. Does anyone know where to get the hoses that hold the carb onto the intake? They should be called carb holder hoses.
