Default Brake rattle

I have a 2000 vulcan 750 i just bought. when i use the front brake i hear a very slight rattle, it doesnt sound like it is from the brakes but almost like it is from the handle or maybe... the master cylinder. the brakes do seem a little weak like maybe they need to be bled. but i am used to a ninja which had strong front brakes.

yeah i totally took the brakes apart, and put some good lube everywhere you should and still rattles. I didn't have any DOT4 around, but when i do they are gonna get bled dry.

If I were feeling mischevious i'd say that's the metric cruiser alarm, keeps you from falling asleep completely.

Fortunately I'm not.

Does it have a floating caliper setup?

errrrr not quite sure what that means. the pad that backs up to the piston is held down in place by some spring clips, and the other pad slides on posts. I lubed those posts, and all the little spring clips, and the backs of the pads where they touch either the piston or back side of the caliper holder.

I hope you used a high temp grease thats not going to turn liquid and run when it gets hot. If your lube gets into the wrong spot that can make for some exciting rides.
