My bike started randomly dieing on me.

Hi, I ride a Kawi 900 Vulcan '07, I've been riding her for my commute 1 1/2 years. I bought her new in '06. She started randomly dieing on me 2 days ago. I'll be riding and poof she dies. I hit the starter and she starts back up. It's happened four times in the past 2 days. I first thought it was because I was on an incline, but this morning she did it while driving on a flat surface. It is always when in first gear and when you just start moving from a stop. If anyone came and told me it was happening to them, I would think they are just screwing up on the throttle. But I've been riding since I was six and I've been on this bike for almost 2 years and this has never happened. Suggestions anyone? I am going to check air filters and oil level tomorrow. But other then that I don't have a clue. Carb?? Advice anyone?

When mine did that it was a flaky ignition switch.

I remember thinking: "WOW! I am riding along and then it's like somebody just turned off the switch...."

Surprising how long it took me to figure out it was the switch.....
