Default Kawasaki GPZ400R fork oil amount.

    Hello to all .
I'm new to this sitebut i'm hoping this one might be the answer to my holy grail of a question, i.e Lost in time.
The title of the post says it all, I have i GPZ400R when i bought it it really needed the fork seals sorting,Not a problem i thought until i tried to find the correct amout of oil for each fork. I have looked all over the net but to no avail.
I would be extremely gratefull if somebody might be able to shed light on this.
    Many Thanks,
    Elgard U.K

Checking the manual which I have found out from Kawasaki in the UK, the levels should be 340mm +/- 2mm each leg...

    Hope this helps..

    Paul.

    Thank you so much Paul,
This is on of the last jobs to do before i finally get to ride it.
How you get on with yours? From what i've read so far they sound like a fun bike to ride.
    Thanks again,
    Elgard

    Hi Elgard,

your most welcome.. If you need any more information pm or post here and I will try to help..

As for mine, it's going great. rode it to Silverstone last weekend for the British GP. Went a treat and works superb. Only problem is I am 6' 2" and the seat height is too low for a long journey, also the wife struggled on a long run too, so we are going to run her over summer and sell her for a bigger bike next year. For shortish runs and trips down the beach during summer she is superb to ride.. Great handling, light and responsive, and an all round pleasure to ride. Longer runs, you need to be fairly short I think to accept the lower seat height.

So probably looking for a z1300 of something similar, z1000, z900 etc...

    Regards

    Paul.
