Default 76 kz-900 ltd light question

Can anyone tell me if the amber turn signal lights are supposed to be on when the headlight switch is on with the LTD model? Its been 21 years since I have delt with the 900s and I don't remember. I bought this off of ebay and am finding a few problems. Thanks for any information.

As per the documentation that I have, 1981 and newer North American bikes have running lights in the turn signals.

Thanks for the reply, I will check and see where the wires were tampered with.

Running lights in the front but not in the rear. The rear are single element bulbs.

Actually I was just commenting on the part that you put about 81 and up having running lights. Since you didn't state that was for front only I thought I would clarify that part. Been a long time since I messed with lights on anything older than mine so I don't even remember what they had prior to that.

Thanks, I guess I should have mentioned that the rears are lit up with the tail light and not the fronts when the headlight switch is on.
