    Thumbs down 04 zx6r having re-start problems

After riding for about an hour or so whe I turn the bike off it will not start again. I had it at the shop for about 5 weeks and they replaced the cam sensor. Well took it out yesterday rode good and hard for a tank of gas and then when I shut it off to re-fill it wouldn't start again for about 10-15 minutes.

Before I took it into the shop it did this all the time, riding hard or not. I would ride for a bit(anywhere from 5 -65 minutes) and after I shut it off it would not start up again. I thought it might have been something to do with the temp........one day it was up to 230 plus degrees wouldn't start until 161degrees. I tried again and it started at 215 degrees, so that was innacurate. So anyways I am getting really ****ed cuz I'm losing valuable riding time here in el paso. Does anyone have any clue what it could be? Cuz I don't want the shop to guess anymore and screww me out of 225 more dollars.
    Thanks Todd

Define start. No crank? Or cranks but won't fire?

Vapor lock. Try starting it with the gas tank open.

    Once I'm done laughing,

Try keeping the tank more than half full, see if the problem goes away. If it does, I'd have a look at your fuel pump / fuel pump relay / sending unit.

I think all questions should be accompanied by sound clips.

Along those lines, someone should set up an internet only diagnosis clinic. Once you pay the $50, send at least 10 pictures and a video clip, a person could then diagnosis the problem. Any additional questions will be $2 a piece.

Hey, that's halfway to sticky material...

    Year, Make, Model.
Description of fault, Audible and Visual reinactment.

Heck, if we can see and hear what it's doing, we'd only be half in the dark.

Maybe we could drop the rate a bit though, as we won't need as much PFM to fix the issue at hand.

Yes, the money we'd make selling the sound clips would at least buy a better computer and some beer.

All money up front. And no returns on the clips, we get to use them as we see fit.

Moto bloopers, it'd be a smash hit! Or at least better than big brother season 9.

If it doesn't go away do you have anymore solutions?

Hmm. 230 Degrees eh? Where did that # come from?

That is VERY high, should be 210 at most on a hot day.

When I go from open throttle on the highway to 25mph and stop lights every 100m on post, the temp jumps way up. It does that on every bike out here.
