While riding on the highway i got over a big rock and cracked my crank case
I took my bike to the mechanic and he said there are 2 options before replacing the crank to a new one: 1. Glue it with epoxy. 2. Weld the crankcase. The first option doesnt really work because he put glue twice and it still leaking oil. Welding it, from what i know, doesnt promise a permanent solution and i could be spending money for nothing. Do i have any other options but to replace the oil crank case? $2000 for a new crankcase (including labor) is like almost half of the bike's worth :/ I got Vulcan 900 Custom 2007 Any advice would be highly appreciated! thanks! Hmm one mechanic willing to put glue on a cracked crankcase but also says that welding might not solve it? Seems a bit strange to me but since they can see it in person and are doing bike repairs for a living I won't be the one to dispute them.
