Default Idle and stalling question with kick stand?

Not sure why my 89 600R has this problem. If I use the kick stand I have to put it up and down a few times. If I use the center stand I am ok. The problem is stalling. For some reason when I use the kick stand the bike will stall when I try to take off. When I have it that it does not stall I can then use the center stand with out this trouble. I have no idea what would cause this or why. Could it be something simple I can fix easy or is it looking like a bad thing hard to fix?

Read this, and remove the sidestand switch's boot/cover and give it a good clean with contact cleaner. I do mine once a year.

After looking I found the switch ya'll said about. I would never had guessed it was there. Thanks for the help and I will have to give it a good cleaning and see what happens. Again Thanks.
