This is the one i have seen and it's not cheap 3000.00. Not sure it's really worth it yet. The ABS feature looks nice and you can find a bad coil without pulling the tank also nice .But i bet it's just like an auto scanner it will give a code like missfire number 3 then you have to do the diag and find out why. I could be wrong havent used one yet. Emission systems just started comming into bikes. Thats kinda steep in price for tech to have in his or her box lol maybe one for an entire shop. But yea if anyone has used one i would also like to know how good they are ?

I don't think it's worth the investment at this time.
VERY few bikes have "scannable" ECUs. The bikes listed in the above unit are about it.
I would not consider it a wise investment until new emissions regulations push bikes into something equal to the automotive OBD-III

The bikes listed in Jay08's post:

ECU is short for Engine Control Unit, or some people call it "Electronic Control Unit"

It's more than JUST the CDI, it's how the software in the ECU is written. My dirtbike has a CDI, but there's no way to even access it for trouble codes.
On the Vulcan cruisers... 900, 1500, 1600, and 2000, you install a diagnostic jumper on a plug under the seat and the ECU flashes the FI light on the instrument panel in a "dot dash" pattern that the tech cross-references to the potential problem.

MOST bikes that have EFI use this type of diagnostic method. Very few have an actual plug-in interface like modern cages do.

Give it another 5 years or so and a device like this might be a good investment for a shop that services a lot of new bikes, but it will never be of any use at all on most bikes built before that time.
