87 Kx Bad Problem Please Help!!!

So I just bought a 1987 KX 125 and it ran excellent, its a really good bike. I put about 25 hours on it since i bought it, and i was out riding and the bike lost all power and died. A few days b4 i had noticed it was jumping gears on me, not often but when i would go to put it into 2nd or 3rd it would jump down a gear? And every so often my clutch would not work, it would be fully engaged but wouldnt work, then the next day it was fine... The bike will still fire, but it sounds very very bad when it runs like bad clicking noices and just doesnt sound rite at all. Do i need a new tranny? whats anyones opinion?

well as for the motor die and loseing power id check the compression sounds like internal damage there and for the clutch and or gear check the friction plates and steels and inspect oil that you drain out for heavy metal shaveings this will tell you u need to pull the engine/trans all the way down and inspect for broken or damaged parts -corey-
