Cool Ninja 250 Help

I have a 2004 Ninja 250, Have nearly 6000 miles on it and have had no problems. I started it up this morning and had no issues, this afternoon I went ot start it up and I turned the key on and all good until I hit the starter switch, then I lost all power. I pulled all the fuses and all were good, a few min later the power came back until I hit the switch again and lost power.

If I let it sit for a bit I get power back, I get lights and all until I do anything, if I pull the brake, turn the brights on, try to start it any differnt load kills all power.

Once again all fuses are good and when I try to start it I hear and can feel a click from what I think is the Starter solenoid.

ANYONE have any ideas on what to check or how to trouble shoot

I would check the battery connections. If those seem to be good get a multimeter and check the voltage on the start solenoid. Another nice thing to have is one of those starter buttons from an autoparts store for $20. They got 2 clips you can connect up the the solenoid itself to bypass the starter button on the bike.

Other then that you have a short or your battery is no good and shorting itself out.

It's your battery.

Remove you battery and carefully check it for fluid as they can evaporate fluid over time. If it's low, go to Yuasa.com it's a battery website that has tips on battery maintaiance.
Check your connections at the battery after you have looked over the battery. If it's low and you need to add some de-ionized water it will need to be charged before being reinstalled. Charge at 2amps/hour overnight.

I have had motorcycles for 23 years and have "NEVER" changed a fuse. My money is on a weak battery.
Good luck.
