Default Adjusting chain tension

I've adjusted the chain on a Honda Rebel before..is it done the same way on a ninja 500? From what I've read on here I think it is. Will I also have to adjust brake? Are there different ways of adjusting the chain for different bikes? I've read about turning the wheel until I find the tight point and then adjusting the chain at that point. That doesn't make sense to me. Thanks

I didn't know there were different ways either. they all have to be pretty much the same, don't they?

Different ways refers to different styles of swingarms but it all boils down to being the same. You may have to loosen the fastener that holds your rear brake shoe in place. As you move the axel backwards tension will increase on the rear brakes due to the setup you have.

If you have drum n shoe rear brakes you will need to back off the tension on the brake adjustment as you tighten the chain.
