Default Power Commander 111 mapping

I have a 2004 Mean Streak 1600 fitted with Jardine Pipes. I have just had it fitted with a Power Commander 111 and dyno tuned. It seems to run beautifully as they have set it for mid range torque / power as I requested, using a standard map supplied with the Power commander and a little tweaking.
My next project is to fit a Thunder Tornado air kit, albeit probably fitted with a chrome cover like those on: http://www.simota.com.au/HTML/Airfilters_d.htm
I assume there is not much difference between the standard filter and the proposed filter.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a Power Commander or custom map for the above configuration ?
Another question. In Australia Mean Streaks are delivered to US specifications unlike rides delivered to Europe which have different specs.
In Australia it is suggested that we use standard Australian unleaded gasoline which is off 91 octane rating. We can also buy premium unleaded at 95 octane rating and a high Octane rating from some sources at a octane rating of 98.
What is the octane ratings of US gasoline and what is suggested if a custom map is used.
Thanks in advance

There is a big difference in mapping from stock air to Thunder. Your bike will run very lean with your original map. I can send you the one I use for my 04 Marauder with a Thunder Tornado and Cobra Speedster Shorts. Won't be exact, but it'll get you close.

94 octane is the highest at our standard pumps.

in my area usually the highest you ever see is 91... most of the time it's 87, 89, and 91 or 93... i've never seen anything higher than 93...

Unless you get race gas or use products like 104+ octane booster, you can rely on 93 octane in the US at the pump as the most you'll get and, on a higher compression engine like your meanie, that's what I would use, particularly if you are tuning for max power.
You can get a map from Dynojet that has a Thunder air kit and open pipes like your Jardine's, but another trip to the dyno will do the best, particularly if you are interested in maxing mid-range torque.

Thanks for the replies .... I was a little concerned what the difference in octane ratings may have on supplied maps. The fuel in the US seems to be of a slightly lower octane rating than in Oz. They say standard unleaded gas here is 92 octane but I think after it has been laying around in storage for a while, it is probably closer to 91
Back to the dyno ! although I thing they have mapped it quite well even now.

The best way to get a good map done on your power commander is to dyno tune it. Its expencive but its the only real way to get the power that you want from all those expecive parts. Downloaded maps and other people's custom maps might help but nothing repalces a dyno tuned power commander. I'd say do all the performace upgrades you want to do then take her to the dyno again.
