Any clue how a clutch cable just snaps and frays apart? I went out today noticed bike shifting a little funny, so later after me and my friend change the oil etc.. I go to start it up and I notice a squeak sound coming from my clutch lever and after about 3-4 pulls finally it just snapped apart the cable. I just put a new cable in 2-3 months ago and couldnt believe it.
anyone know of a good place online I can get an oem cable instead of the ebay ones, cause this 2 month old one was from ebay from some china company I read that a worn clutch lever can break a new cable premature, not sure if they mean the actual lever up on the bars, or the lever that runs down into the tranny below where the oil goes. Could it be rubbing on something? This could cause stress in the area were its breaking.
