    Default Ninja 650

    I am interested in buying a sportbike and was wondering if a ninja 650 is a little too much for some one who's experience is about two weeks riding experience on a suzuki 250 cruiser. Im 5'9 and about 170lbs in case thats relevant. thanks in advance fells

    You will be fine on it, just control the twisty motion of the right hand until you get the hang of it and you'll be fine...

    Love ours.

    Both me and my husband are small, i'm 130 and he's 140 - he's 5'8 and i'm 5'5.
    Perfect for around town!

    Perfect choice... Take the MSF class before you get on it.

    Some of the 600 models out there are "super sport" models, so just because we're saying it's okay for a new rider to get a 650R doesn't mean a ZX-6R is going to be easier to ride. They are two completely different bikes.

    The 650R is the best "first bike" being produced now...period.

    Im a fat guy and I admit it, at slightly over 6 foot and 250lbs this bike has no problem lugging me around... it still has plenty of umph to get me going quick even two up its still running strong...

    5' 10" 215lbs...and the bike can still pull away from a lot of things on the road. I even gave my 12 yr old daughter a ride on it (she weighs just under a buck) and the bike didn't flinch.

    The 650 is a good beginner bike if you're cautious. It's got a comfortable riding position, forgiving controls, good seat height (for me, at least), and enough go to keep me happy as my confidence increases.

    Just don't go crazy on it.

    Haha im about the same size/weight but i ride a older ZX-6, let me tell ya that ZX-6 has no problem hauling my fat a$$ around!
