Hi all,
Just registered and wanted to make an introduction. Today my buddy and I just picked up my new 07 Ninja 250 from Vancouver, which is just about on top of Portland... we live in Seattle so it was a fun 3hr drive to and back lol. Bike is just about brand new, only 3k miles, been babied and never dropped - previous owner even had all of the paperwork for every oil change and maintenance work! Went overkill yesterday and picked up a full alpinestars 2pc leather suit (RC-1 I think it is) and now I'm just itching to go riding. I took the MSF course a few months after I got my drivers license but that was years ago, but I do have my endorsement. Haven't been on a bike since the practice ones they gave us so I just resigned up for the class this weekend just so I can make sure I have the basics down. When we were down in Vancouver I hopped on the bike and went down the block no problems - a lot of the muscle memory came back and I was able to walk it around and coast in first. The 250 felt pretty natural to ride and I can't wait to get some more practice down in a parking lot before hitting the streets! Anyway this post was a lot longer than I thought so here are some pictures. If anyone here is in/around Seattle I'd love to meet up since I only know a handful of riders. Congrats on the new bike, you'll love it. I fell in love with my bike. Wouldn't give it up for anything else. I wish I knew a handful of riders, I know two! My hubby, who can't ride right now because of a herniated disc in his back, and my cousin, who never has any free time.

Nice bike! I hope it keeps you thoroughly entertained as you zip around on it. Before you know it, two riding seasons will have gone by and you'll be ready for the next size up. You know, a Z1000, or a ZX-14
Just kidding. I hear the 500R is a nice step up from the 250R....if you decide to go up in size, that is. However, if you really enjoy the 250, I see no reason to go up in size at all. Ride safe and have fun! P.S. If you get a minute or two free, please peruse the link in my signature. I think it might be worthwhile. |

You know, it was just luck. Turns out I was browsing the Evergreen Safety Council website - ESC.org - and it just happened in that very window a few spots opened up for classes and I was able to hop aboard. The lady said that they open the classes up again for registration when some people dropped out so I'd probably sign up for one and then keep an eye on the website.
