solo seat for VN 900 Classic

I have been looking for a solo seat for my 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic and have only found a couple from Saddlemen and Granucci. All of them are noted as bringing the rider closer to the ground. I have really long legs and don't need to be one bit closer, unless I am planning on riding a big-wheel (which may be a good idea). Does anyone know of a solo seat for this bike that won't lower the rider position? Or another option?

Wow, thanx for the heads up. I didn't realize they made you sit lower and I was looking at the same seats. I'm also scraping bottom as it is (6'2"). Maybe an alternative would be to add one of these on top?

I have heard that might help. A friend of mine suggested that a guy here in Bham who customizes seats might cut down the factory seat to make it solo and then upholster over a gel pad. Theoretically, that would raise the height and increase comfort. I think the price would be comparable to purchasing a higher-end new seat. I am thinking that compromise might be the answer, but i need to get a solid price first.

I'm 6' 1" and don't have a problem with it being lower (I have the Saddlemen). It lowers you but it also seats you back some. It really opened up the cockpit, so to say, for me. Something to consider. On the stock seat I felt like I was riding too high and sitting right on top of the gas tank. I can really stretch out now.

Have you looked into getting a stock 900 Custom seat, should be able to get one cheap since they blow for 2up, and cutting it down to a solo? Just a thought.
