Anybody interested in a little ride on Friday up to Kearny for lunch? My g/f-passenger and I are heading out about 10:00 ish and may or may not loop around the back way to Globe for the return trip.

Got grandkid duty for the next 3 weekends so this is about the only chance I have to get out. Other than hitting a few bike shops last Saturday, I'm dieing to go on a proper ride with the new gear I won in the bike show raffle.

Anyhow, if you'd like to go, I'll pm you my info. In any event, happy Thanksgiving to all.

Kearny is 23 miles south of Superior, roughly. Out through AJ on the 60 then hang a right. Nice way back is to continue through Hayden to Winkleman and come in on the back side of Globe. The pass is over 5000' through there so it will be nippley. I may just backtrack instead of taking the long way home? Dunno yet? There is one restaurant in Kearny, the coffee shop at the General Kearny Inn.

My g/f decided to stay at her folks over the weekend so I'll be riding solo. I live right off the 60 at Dobson in Mesa and you're welcome to just meet me at my house if you'd like. I'll probaby leave around 10:00~10:30? If you go, I'll show you my secret road down to the banks of the Gila river.

FWIW, my scooter is obnoxiously loud and for the most part, I'm a speed limit + 5 or 6 kind of gal. (like to save my speeding for the tight twisties). As long as your partner doesn't mind you go riding with me without mine, it's all good! (j/k - I'm old anyway!)

Twas a beautiful today and I am pooped, in a good way. Had a nice ride all by my lonesome. Forgot my camera though, darnit! Saturday might work for me if it's morning. Have to be back home by 1:30 to get my car and pick up my grandson for the rest of the weekend so unless its a quick zip up to the lake or something early, I'll have to miss out.

Hope we can work something out soon?

A "classic"! 1985 ZX900-A2. Dymag wheels, PM brakes and whopping rotors, painfully loud Supertrapp slip ons. She's a re-streeted race bike from my past! Other bikes I've owned, 1981 Suzuki GS-450ES, 1979 XS-1100 Special Yammie, 1985 ZX 600 Ninja, 1988 GSX-R 750 Suzi, 1993 GL1500SE Gold Wing and a crap load of MX bikes. M/C endorsed since 1981. Riding since I was a kid in the (ancient history) '60's

I might be up for that? I have a floating meeting sometime this weekend with my dev team and we haven't pinned down a time yet. If I can make it, I'll let you know.

ps
I followed your links in your sig and see you are into some pretty cool stuff. I'm a former racer myself 100 years ago and today am working with the Grand Am Rolex series and the Champ Car World Series developing PC based racing simulations. I was watching this thread, but I didn't chime in because I couldn't make it. However, I am planning a ride up to Tortilla Flats Saturday morning (not too early) if anyone is interested. Let me know, I live very close by (Baseline and McClintock).
I might be able to make this, as long as its not late in the day...
Please post meet place/time

Dunno what time? Maybe 10~10:30? Was hoping to go solo but the g/f wants to go too so I'll be 2-up. Anyone going is welcome to meet up in my driveway. Lemme know and I'll PM you directions and my addy. Weather should be great, traffic at the lake not so great. Don't plan on eating at TF but if everyone else wants to, I will.

Anybody gonna go? I've marked on my schedule that I'll be out on Saturday and plan to take advantage of it. Since my g/f couldn't go to Kearny the day after Thanksgiving, I might head up that way again if nobody else wants to do Tortilla Flat?

I'm jonesin' to ride!

Well, I am a horrible person, and I will not be able to make it. I'm bummed. Sorry guys and gals. I will keep watching the baords though, and hopefully I'll get to go ride with ya'll soon.

Also, Saturday (all day) I will be at PIR racing a Spec Miata. It is FREE to get in and come watch, so if anyone wants to come hang out, have a burger, and watch some roadracing come on out and find me. Just look for the black Kawasaki bike parked next to a motorhome and a miata. My name is Brian.

Thanks for letting me know.

No worries

Grandkid next weekend and big holiday weekend the next. When I'm enjoying my beautiful ride tomorrow with my girlfriend on the back and some sammiches in the tank bag for a little picnic in the trees, I'll just think of y'all. ;)

Brian, have a good day on the track. Think I'm heading east but if we decide to go west, like out by Estrella Park, maybe we'll stop in? My bike knows the way, at one time it was the lap record holder there! (with ex-hubby piloting)
