2009 Odometer Race.

The Odometer race that was started and run by Zedx11 will happen again this year, at this point, I don't have any prize money. If any of you decide you want to make a donation, you can make a donation to the forum using the donation portal and mark it "Odometer Race" in the comments field. MAKE SURE YOU PUT YOUR NAME ON IT!! When the office gets the donation, I'll update this post with the information. (If for some reason you have made a donation, and it doesn't show up on this post, then send me a PM with the amount and date of the donation, and I'll look into it for you.)

So, at this point, I'm going to say that we'll run it for fun this year. We'll run the race from April 1 through Oct 31 like we did last year. I'll post the winners of this year's event in the Hall of Fame, like I have done in years past.

However, unlike years past, this year I will not be blasting the news all over the forums, all correspondance will be done through this thread.

I will start a thread informing members of the race with a link to this thread, but the official thread will be this one.

I will modify this post when it comes time to start the race, and I'll download the pictures at the start and end of the race.

UPDATE: Super secret Starting Password is "Satisfaction".

I'll give more instructions as we near the start of the race. We'll do like last year where you have to put a word on a piece of paper and put it in the picture.

I bought my bike January 10th and as of today have a little over 2500 miles on it.

Its not uncommon to have snow in Ohio in April. I really hope we are done with it for the season though.

This sounds like fun... we got our bikes in Nov new, and have almost 6K on them now - and then there's the Sturgis ride in August - but I'm sure there are people who do way more miles!

Last year I took it out of storage 2nd week of april, and it was windy as a **** (I was riding straight leaning over quite a bit) and cold as **** too! Long story short, I didn't ride it much until may.
