So, Auburn University has these screen savers that have "environmentally friendly" tips displayed.

There's 40 computers sitting idle in this computer lab, 39 of which are unused.

So, all that power is being used to display the same thing on 39 idle computers.

So, how much power is being used there? How is that environmentally friendly?

Dude, I know what you mean!

In port the ship is run off of shorepower, and in the spaces not commonly used, unless people are proactively shutting off the lights, they leave the lights turned on. In empty spaces.

Now, some places it's necessary, like the machinery spaces. Those are visited regularly. But come on, the communcations room that's shut down?
