and you better be real careful if you stop at Wal Mart and need some iodine for your first aid kit, some matches to light a candle, some cold pills for a cold, some drain cleaner for your bathtub, some starting fluid for your lawnmower, some coffee filters for your coffee maker and some rock salt for your ice cream maker, you could just find yourself in possesion of a "meth lab" It is absolute crazyness, now around here houses, apartments and motels have been catching on fire left and right, they came up with a way to make it using the instant cold packs from first aid kits and call it "shake and bake", a bunch of them are getting a little more baked than they planned I guess, seems like they control one chemical and they just switch to a worse method, there has to be a better way to deal with it, I don't have a clue what it is mind you

A few years ago I was "carded" for when I bought a bottle of Stabil at the local Wal*Mart.

I've heard tale of people running anhydrous ammonia into a bucket and trying to make off with it in the car. In a bucket? In the car?! That stuff'll suffocate a person quickly.

Ya... the "real" Sudafed is now regulated OTC... gotta give your driver's license number and you can't buy more than, IIRC, 2 packs in 30 days.

The "cooks" just recruit people to buy it for them and offer a couple of bucks (or free meth), so they still have no problem getting it.

At first, they completely pulled Pseudoephedrine and replaced it with SudafedPE, which is Phenylephrine HCl (can't be converted to meth, but it doesn't work worth a crap for me).

There's always been "homebrew" drugs.

Remember the original Contac capsules? The black pellets were belladonna (not the p0rn starlet!). Druggies would buy a few bottles of Contac, open all of the capsules into a plate, separate out the black ones, and refill the capsules.

Impossible, I grew up there. We are talikng about an area where every parent knows every parent.

stores didnt even open until 1pm on a sunday because everyone was in church. Little league, every ones sons played each season.

It was an area of block parties, neighborhood barbacues, the whole county showed up for football game

they didnt even have a blockbuster video until like the year 2000. I left there in 1986, visited once or twice, last time 2006

I guess its true, you cna never go home
Lot's of places to hide low police patrol = perfect place for meth labs it's all over Missouri not just Jeff county! Many are now going mobile with thier meth labs.
