Default Look who's recovered from his hangover!

Well, well, well...look who showed up at my house for a little visit! We didn't get to do anything for the first few days due to the weather we had AND his brutal hangover from the Red Lodge Rally. But, he started feeling better once the weather cleared so he, Crysti and I set out around our area to do some site seeing! He asked that we post some pics up since he knows how you guys get about pictures.

First things first, BT had to get to know his two new roommates, Loki & Ymir (pronounced Low-key and Ee-Mare, left to right). Neither of them look too impressed, do they?
http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...t/102_2224.jpg

We unfortunately didn't get too much time site seeing, but BT just had to stop and admire this view of downtown Minneapolis with the mighty Mississippi in it! He told me that river starts here in MN! What a smart @ss! He was a little scared of falling in so he asked me to help him pose!

BT had heard we had a rather unfortunate event here in MN almost two years ago when a portion of the 35W bridge collapsed over the Mississippi river. He was very excited to see the new bridge and wanted to pose for the camera on Crysti's 900 with it in the background!

We made a stop at Gold Medal Park and BT LOVED the view across the river with the stone arch bridge. He said he's seen a few photos of it that he loved and wanted to be in one with it himself! If you look in the distance, you'll see the old Pillsbury mill, one of many in The Mill City.

Speaking of mills, BT noticed the Gold Medal Flour mill while also at the park. He also couldn't help but notice the new Guthrie Theater right next to it!!!

Now...BT wanted me to assure you he had NOTHING to do with the big hole in the old Gold Medal Flour mill. That happened during a MASSIVE explosion long before he even existed! He did try to take off on my bike though. Just can't trust that donkey some times!

Here's BT starting to bang his head as we stand in front of the legendary First Ave, right by a star for one of Adam's favorite bands!

Now, contrary to what those two clowns on the East cost think, BT quickly became a Twins fan after seeing the awesome new stadium they're getting for next season! He was hoping to see the TCF Stadium for the U of M Gophers, but just didn't have time. Now if only the Vikings can get out of that HORRIBLE Metrodome (his words, not mine)!

Default Mill City visit continued!

One of the last visit's BT wanted to make was to the Walker Sculpture Garden that Crysti kept telling him about to see the iconic Cherry & Spoon.

Last, but not least, BT wanted to go for a ride on the Meanie since he hasn't been on one yet. He sure enjoyed!

There were sooooooooooooooooooo many other things that BT wanted to see while here in MN. We didn't even get a chance to get over to St Paul or even out of the cities for some of the gorgeous countryside. But, he was getting that urge to travel yet again. He wouldn't tell me where he was going though so I guess we'll have to wait until he pops up yet again! I sure hope he winds up down in Kansas for the Day of the Donkey ride on August 8th!!! Afterall, we're holding that get together in his honor!

There were a few more pictures that BT said you're welcome to look through if you'd like here.

Wow...Donkey's definitely itching to travel again. He just told me he already bought his airline ticket to his next destination! I wonder where it'll be?

Looks like you two had a great time! Love the pics. I'm sure that stuff about the Twins was just to make you feel better. I hope someone is keeping track of BT's frequent flyer miles!

I've been past that place on my last trip to the US... didn't get a chance to see any bands there though

I didn't realise Buckwheat Zydeco was one of your favourite bands, Adam ?

I just got an Email from BT, he wanted me to tell everyone that as he is a little busy with all his relocating he hasn't had time to update his map.

But he assures me he will get to it.

He also said it helps him if people can email him any specifics about the locations of the photos, he doesn't have a very good memory sometimes.
His email as always is btdonkey@googlemaildotcom

Great idea Box... I have a little hand-held, hiking GPS that isn't all that great any more sine it's a little outdated, but I still like and use for pinpointing places I've been... when Donkey and I finally get back together, I'll bring it and give him the exact co-ordinates so he can make the map PERFECT!

I miss the little guy, but am having a blast living vicariously through him!
