    Default Farrah Fawcett Dead

I don't have a link because its just breaking news on CNN but it is being reported she has died. I figured it was imminent. Sad. That famous poster still hangs in my old bedroom in the house I grew up in.

All you had to say was "The Poster" and every male close to my age knew what you were talking about.

That's so sad. I watched her struggle on TV. She was a fighter and it's ashame she didn't win. R.I.P.

I just read the CNN article - How very sad. I also learned she was from Corpus Christi - I never knew that. I still have a poster of her that I had when I was a teenager. She was beautiful, talented, and fought the good fight. We've lost another good one. Rest in Peace.

Heck...I'm 30 and knew what he was talking about! Ha ha! She was actually one of the first "nudies" I remember seeing. I was scared, thinking they'd poke my eyes out!

At least she can rest now.

She was diagnosed around the same time I was. I have the exact same type cancer that she did. I was told that if I made it a year I would be lucky. Went through all the surgeries, radiation, and chemo. That was 2004 and I made it to 2008 before it returned. ( Unfortunately the recurrence is almost 80%). About the same as hers returned. I think hers got into the liver, which is never good. She did a good tv special about it and I was hoping and praying the chemo would work for her. Believe me, it is some really nasty stuff (both the cancer and the "cure"). She was one tough lady. I feel really bad for O'Neal as she had finally agreed to marry him. So sad. May she RIP.

Thanks for the good thoughts. I am finally getting to ride again after 5 months of not being able to. It is amazing how good and free I feel when I can ride.

She was a beauty and appeared to be a decent person. That special of hers was pretty sad. If I weren't a manly sort of man I could have teared up even.

Very sad news indeed. Was really hoping for her to pull through.
