Smile The Big Moving Day is upon us.

Today is the day, well actually we started packing our lives into my van last night. But today is the day we move out of our townhouse. Tomorrow we move into our new (new to us) house. The moving van is rented, the pets are farmed out to the parents, and we are ready to go tonite after work.
Not that I enjoy the packing, cleaning, and moving, and unpacking, cleaning, and organizing. But I am looking forward to that first beer, sitting on my new deck.

Oh boy! Get the tennis shoes on and the sweat band and run like hell and then have that beer!

Good luck Carlo and tell your sweetheart that true love can really be tested in times like this...especially when your sitting in the lawn chair sipping suds and she's unloading the boxes and furniture.

man that is great. I'm so glad I wasn't able to get away from work to help you move. I do look forward to seeing it in person and walking barefoot in your new grass.

I'm sure he'll appreciate you finding any sticks and stones in the lawn before he mows it for the first time.

Congratulations on your new home, hope it all goes smooth. My wife and I will be coming through Penticton on Jul 6th on our way to Victoria. Will our room be ready? Actually you'll be gone on the Beartooth ride right? Just let me know where the key is, promise to start the dishwasher before we leave!
Just kidding, we will probably just be stopping for gas in Penticton, we're heading down into Washington to take Hwy 20 that Depmodeche was bragging about.

you will not be dissapointed in the North Cascades Highway. Hwy 20 goes east out of Burlington where I live across some of the rugged most mountains in the state. There are 3 main dams on the Upper Skagit River that you will come upon. There is the lower boulder dam, the diablo dam and the ross dam each has a nice lake held behind that is turquois green. The water is green from what is called marble flour, little bits of marlble from the mountains that gets suspended in the water. Ross Lake baks up some 20 to 30 miles up into canada.

There is a really beautiful peak structure at the washington pass, called liberty bell peak or something like that it 7800 feet of granite standing hig above all else around shaped like the libert bell.

The little town of Winthrop is quaint with its wooden sidewalks and old store fronts.

all in all, it is a great ride and beautiful scenery.

The first memory being related to figuring out where you packed the blender and your toothbrush.*

*One should not infer from my post that those two items are intended to be used together. I take no responsibility for injury or damage to said products as a result of their use in some odd fashion with one another. My lawyers make me say this after a certain incident with some blowfish and a large number of Pixie Sticks. I can't elaberate. The terms of agreement with the Pope, Donald Trump and Mark Cuban prohibit it.

Great! Thanks spok, I'm really looking forward to this part of the trip. I guess it's OK to totally hijack trike's moving thread cause he probably won't have his computer hooked up for another day or so.
