Ryan I totally understand your frustration but this is the first year of a new system and if the entire team doesnt by into the system the team will not progress. Jimmy Johnson went backwards 1-15 before he went forward same as Coughlin although The Giants had a lot to work with. If Manjini brought these guys over he saw something in them. The jets played great last year before they ran out of gas and Favre got hurt. I'm sure there are a lot of players that resent the new guys and the new system because it might not fit theres. and because things didnt get better right away some guys are just playing out there contract. I don't know if Manjini can change things or not but even Parcell would have trouble making this squad a winner, although with Parcell because of his rep he would have more players on board. Sometimes it just takes time. Another reason the QB's may not doing better now is that the system they played in before didnt expose there weaknesses. If you don't have good receivers they traded a couple of talanted guys but if thet werent part of the long term plan whats the point of keeping them. Winslow would be killing the locker room right now and there would be a lot more players that would be giving up. If Manjini stays adnif after next year they don't start improving after the 5-6 game than you can totally blame the coach but any coach deserves at least 3 years to develop his team.
But you like so many have given up on this guy so it might be over for him any way but whoever takes over is going need a couple of years.

This is just one reason why I don't think this guy is right for the job, Eric Mangini defends Derek Anderson, but says QB 'analysis' will occur: Browns Insider | Cleveland Browns - cleveland.com - - cleveland.com How can one possibly say that Anderson should be in there??? It'll all be a moot point if he starts Quinn after the bye week, but Anderson has been so bad that there is no justification for keeping him in there. Give the rest of the season to Quinn, really see what you have or don't have in him, and then move on next year.

Ry, who gives them the best chance to win given the options. I'm not familiar with either Anderson or Quinn, but my guess is that what the coaches see or have seen in Quinn gives them concern that he'd be better off than Anderson.

also consider that they will "stick with" a guy more often than not, but my assumption is that Quinn is a bust in their eyes. You don't know the whole story because they won't say those things in public.

Thing is he hasn't even been given a chance to say that he's a bust. I just can't believe that he's worse than Anserson. His QB rating, DA, is like 37.5!!!!! Quinn played 3 games last year before the broken hand and looked OK. He gets 2 1/2 games at the beginning of a season after "winning" the job in camp and then gets pulled, for THIS!!!! I whole heartedly believe that it is about not paying him the 11 million if he met certain clauses in his contract.

well, that's possible. it is a business, after all. No one in the organization would ever admit that though. There's just gotta be more to the story though. Otherwise, it would be too easy of a decision, right? You just gotta figure that someone knows something. Maybe Anderson has some Mangini pictures that he's threatening to go public with! LOL Maybe with Quinn in them!!!

He certainly couldn't do any worse. I heard someone say the other day that Kosar could hobble into the huddle and still complete more passes than DA. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised!
