    Default How Many Forum Members Does It Take???

    How many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb?

    1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
    14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently

    4 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

    1 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs

    15 to flame the spell checker poster

    6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ...

    ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as being stupid

    12 to claim they know which light bulb is best

    2 to claim the cheaper but weaker OEM bulb is just fine

    1 to claim all bulbs are the same

    2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

    15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct

    3 to claim they've been bikers for the last 60 years and they've never ever had a mechanic change a bulb for them. They do their own work like a real biker should

    19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum

    11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum

    36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty

    7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs

    4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's

    3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group

    13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

    5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

    4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

    13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"

    2 to start a discussion about how the President started all this somehow with his failed economic plan and now we can't afford premium American made bulbs because the companies are now all overseas

    3 to defend the President and his actions to save us from terroism

    3 say it's Jane Fonda's fault

    2 to say Jane was just a kid and didn't know what she was doing

    1 to post to the moderators to delete the entire thread

    3 to praise the guy that wants the thread deleted

    5 to start humorous posts to calm down everybody

    3 to start a philosophical discussion including bible verses

    1 to remind us of our 1st admendment rights

    1 to start posting pornographic Jpegs

    1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

    Very good - but you seem to have forgotten:

    1 to point out that they do it better on his planet;
    1 to take exception with the fact that a woman could do it by herself;
    3 other ladies to agree with her;
    1 to explain how it is done Down Under;
    and
    1 to insert a bunch of Smileys in the rebuttals to the quotes!!

    Now is that actually forum members or forum posts you're counting. And of course you have to add the HD factor, which of course would require all that plus a trip to the store, 5-6 new shirts and a new set of boots since they think people will see them better with the new lightbulb. And then at the end you have original person back telling you he put the light bulb in wrong and to correctly do it had to rewire the entire front light bar cause the root cause was the excess draw from the 500W radio he installed...which of course took:

    1 person to install,
    14 to share....

    Being an expert on the subject, I personally verify that the the answer to the question at hand is tuna, crabgrass and molefoam.

    It's a thread that hijacks itself. Besides, someone had to do it..... I figured I'd get it over with quick before we made too much of a commitment to it.

    By the way, molefoam is that furry stuff used to make the non scratch feet on electronics equipment. It's used interchangably with rubber feet.

    We have a similar, but shorter, version of this joke at work:

    "How many audio guys does it take to change a light bulb?"

    "None - it's a video problem."
