Actually I think his other article was funny. How To Accidentally Throw A Furry Orgy Using Craigslist | Cracked.com
I'm running Vista 64 bit on an i7 processor and 6gb of ddr3 ram and have no issues so far. Last review I read was that if you're running 64bit vista not much reason to upgrade to 7.
Still that guys review and his whole blog site is hilarious,
I read his last 5 articles & he's freaking funny. I about ****ed myself laughing at the furry orgy.

That was a pretty funny article.
I'm typing this on my brand spanking new Windows 7 PC. My old XP box had a problem, it kept running slower and slower and it wasn't virus or spyware related. I run regular backups of our data, but wanted to get a copy on a USB drive before it finally died, and it took 3 hours to copy 10gb of data. It was either the drive or something with the system board. I popped the drive out and put it in my other box as a slave, and it worked fine. Since the PC isn't one I built, replacing the system board wasn't worth the effort, so I got a new quad core box, 6gb of ram and a nice honkin big drive.
So far Win 7 has run flawlessly. It found all of my hardware without any issues, it's fast, the interface is nice, administration tools are good. All the apps I use are working fine. The only thing I don't like is this version won't allow you to run the built in backup software to a network drive (I have a drive in another PC that I share out and backup everything to), so I'm using a big USB drive for backups.
We'll see how it goes over the next few months, but so far, 2 thumbs up from me. I'm a computer geek by profession and I know what I'm doing, and I feel confident in recommending 7 to someone who is considering an upgrade from XP.

My Windows 7 upgrade sucked a phat one. I upgraded from XP. I ended up ditching all Windows this weekend and went to Ubuntu.
I am a pretty big fan of Ubuntu. I run it on my home laptop and it does everything I need it to do. Unfortunately, I am stuck using Windows at work as most of the systems are members of an AD domain and I need to have Windows installed to administer said domain... So far though, Windows 7 is making that task a lot less painful than it could be.

I work part time as a tech at a local pc and networking store.
Most if not all systems that come in, the owner complains that the pc/lapper is running slow. And here is the reason why....
Google and other toolbars
Aim and other type of messengers
norton (all versions)
Screen savers and other cutesy BS
a 40 pound registry that aint been cleaned out
completely fragged hard drive from installing and de-installing and deleting
q-time and other apps that have upgrade processes in the start up tab
I see this BS every day. You don't need this crap!!! The smaller the number of icons in your taskbar, the better off your gonna be.
And my main gripe, nobody ever backs up any of their stuff. Primarily they probably don't know how. Just today I cleaned up one system, 576 infected files (spy and malware). And most of the viruses I see come from either porno sites or from mp3's dloaded from Limewire.
And also one of my faves..."I got a spy and virus checker but it didn't get rid of anything". Thats because you got the trial version and didn't pay for the registered version. Oh and back up my pictures. Hehe...just about all people wouldn't know where the camera taken pictures were saved on the drive anyways.
Lucky...

My laptop, which came with 4 gig of RAM and Windows Vista, nows runs faster than Vista ever did utilizing the same exact hardware. Windows 7 is running "glass-pane" visuals and Vista was stripped down to bare bones!
Windows 7 just feels smooth, clean, and lightweight, more like a glossy version of XP than an improved version of Vista. Just my take on it.
Also, MS Paint, which I've been using faithfully for 15 years or so now, finally sees its first real upgrade in Windows 7. It's no Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, but it actually looks pretty good and the different brushes paint different textures on the canvas.
After upgrading to Windows 7 I loved it immediately and, unless the Apocalypse happens, I won't switch back to Vista, XP, Me, 3.11, Windows 2.0, DOS 6.0, BASIC, GEOS for the C64...

Windows 7 'feels' snappy, but I'm not sure what's going on since most benchmarks show it to be little, if any faster than XP or Vista. Definately a smoother interface and lots of Vista's bugs have been fixed it seems.
