Young's biggest problem is he was never asked to read defenses in Texas and he got by on his athletic ability to scramble til someone came open. Doesn't work in the NFL where everyone is a track star.

Cleveland Browns Cheerleaders

If they had cheerleaders, at least then someone on the team could run, catch, etc.

Most folks in WV were Steelers fans, and we lived just across the river, so that's what I was. it was good, because that was in the 70s during the days of the Steel Curtain, Franco Harris, Rocky Blier, Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swan, John Stalworth, Mean Joe, Green, Jack Lambert, Jack Ham, etc.

Then I moved to Dallas in 1990. I became a Dallas fan because they were the local team, and hearing about them all the time, you can't help but root for them. Besides that, they won three superbowls while I was there. Perhaps it was because I felt sorry for them due to Pittsburg beating them in a superbowl in the 70s.

Then came Charlotte in 1999. Dispite the way the Panthers are performing these days, they are the local team and I generally follow and root for them.

I still have a place in my heart for the Steelers and Cowboys, and root for them depending on who is playing. If the Panthers are playing them, then I can be happy no matter which team wins, right?

So Ryan, I say this to tell you....you can change teams and still be a man!

PS. Looks like Delhomme may be out this week! YEA!!!!!

The guys you Talked about: Franco Harris's Son is running for office in Pittsburgh, Lynn Swan Has run for Governor of Pa. Terry Bradshaw is a commentator on TV, Jack Lambert is a Game warden near Tionesta Pa.( how would you like to run into him in the woods, with an illegal deer.) Joe Green and Rocky Blier, have reacently been on TV. But what happend to Ham and Stalworth?

I get it. For Chiefs fans one name stands above the rest--Lin Eliott. Since that game in January '96 the Chiefs have been 0-4 in playoff appearances and haven't won a playoff game since '93 with Montana as the QB. While the jury is still out on the current front office and coaching regime, things aren't looking too good at 1 Arrowhead Drive these days. The defense is fair and the offense is inept (actually, they're offensive). Now Larry Johnson apparently spouted off about something which the League is investigating and the Chiefs have told hom not to bother with coming to practice. That organization is looking very troubled right now and stands in stark contrast to the Broncos.

Then we have the Royals. My first cry when your heart breaks at the hands of the Damn Yankees in not only '76, but '77 and '78 for good measure. Finally in '80 came that measure of revenge when the Yanks were put away and the Royals were in their first World Series. Tug McGraw and the Phillies dispatched them in six games but we knew we'd be back. Except it took until '85 with a most improbable come from behind down 3 games to 1 rally against the Blue Jays when they came back off the mat and won three straight to take the pennant and join the Cardinals in the I-70 Series. History would repeat itself as they again went down 3 games to 1 and rallied to win the Series at home, something Cardinals fans have not forgiven the upstarts from KC for to this day. Then came a long slide into mediocrity and now just are simply bad. The strike of '94 possibly kept them out of the playoffs as they were in first place when the strike started which preserved the ongoing streak of 24 years without a playoff appearance.

So now we get to watch the Yanks and the Phillies. Yawn. Maybe I won't bother.
