It might be time to open up a special forum category or categories just for Oil, Tires and The Darkside. Good place to put some of the older threads dealing with these issues.

I think the forum is divided more than enough as it is.

Most people pretty much just post questions in the Main Lobby, New Rider of FAQ sections and ignore the mechanics, vintage bikes and other areas where a problem with an older KZ might be appropriate place to post. We'd get the same thing with Oil, Tires and other subjects, too.

Someone else suggested that a thread should be locked after a certain period of inactivity. I actually think this might be the best cure for it. The thread would still be searchable, but after, say, a year, it would be read only. Off topic posts could be shorter.

On the other had, if we have an existing well running topic on a subject that is getting a lot of recent posts, it would be nice if the mods made more use of the merge function to merge other threads that pop up on the same subject with it.

sometimes people search for a topic and get distracted....want proof....

look at all the cagers out on the road and the person driving in the far left lane that careens right to make the exit they just missed while trying to not spill coffee and drop their cell phone while texting and smaking th ekids in the back seat

It is fun watching people get all worked up over a minor difference of opinion on these forum threads. I've done it myself, and then wondered why??

Oh. I thought it was a southern thing like "it's a-rainin' " or "I'm a-leavin' now".

Geez, people, look at the date of the last post. It's located above a person's avatar. And admin, once again, please eliminate the "related thread" box at the bottom of the page.
