Riding thru big cities IMO sucks.
As does the super slab type of HWY's.

I prefer roads more in the country, with actual scenery, and less traffic.

If it means I add another 500 miles to a trip, so be it.

I lead a group to Texas a few years back, and also on the way back home.
Used a different route each way, and used as many secondary roads as I could find.
At first a few of the peopel going whined some, I told them to then take their own route, its a fee country after all.
Well they didn;t, they all chose to follow me instead, and when we arrived in Texas, the whiners had changed their minds, and actually said how nice it was to see the small towns, countryside, great scenery, and not be in a cluster of cars, droning along some 8 lane express way.

And when you consider the lack of traffic, and all the slowing that happens as soon as you get even remotely close to a large city, it takes no longer to get to a destination.
And you arrive relaxed, and smiling........not exhausted because you spent all day trying to avoid the idiots in their cages trying to run over you, or stuck crawling along some HWY at a blistering 15 MPH in bumper to bumper traffic.

A bridge? My dentist suggested that after a tooth I had cracked. He wanted to screw a fake tooth into my jaw where the cracked tooth was, pull a GOOD tooth next to it and put in a crown, and then bridge them together. Are we living int he dark ages??

I had an oral surgeon dig out the root of the cracked tooth and call it a day. It's in the back, though so nobody sees it.

Don't know where you're at in BC but if you can cross at 95 in Idaho or 93 in Montana either one will get you LV in pretty good shape with no super slab or major cities.

Because I already have teeth missing back there I really can't offord to lose more. It will be ok...just sucks for a min...just called the dentist and she called in pain meds...yea!!
