Well gang, they say the old ones too long again, so asked me to start another new thread, so here it is.

Oh, and FWIW, last year I hopped on to my 2008 Versys and rode it 928 miles without checking anything after the dealership assembled it.

Anyways, when is it officially okay to give up on a bike?

Yeah, still doesn't want to start. I did the valves, tried to kick it over several times, and it refused to start.

I'm honestly ready to kill this thing, I really am. Selling this bike is crossing my mind.

I'd be surprised if it had bad compression at 4,000 miles.

spark timing seem to be okay?
As in the key is not broken or something knocking it out.

did you try a new spark plug, sometimes even a new plug could be faulty right out of the box, not likely, but hey, strange things happen.

I don't have a compression tester and I'm not sure where to get one for the bike at, in all honesty.
