In the end, it may come out to nearly the same price, but it will be more 'me' than a stock bike.
I agree - and that's why I haven't decided to buy one. It's the markup, period. They hold their value extremely well compared to most vehicles, but still, the price you pay is too much for what it is, in my opinion.

Easy to work on, though. That's the only thing that gets me is how easy they are to work on.

Nope, the Diavels already are 2-seaters. They come with a seat cover installed on the back and the pillion pegs on the Diavel fold down for the passenger.

If you look closely you can see the passenger pegs folded up close to the rear seat cover.

But aren't most cruisers relatively easy to work on because of how the engine is exposed?

Depends on which one you're talking about, I suppose. The Magna I had was a pain in the butt to work on, but the Suzuki Intruder wasn't too bad. I think a v-twin might be easier to work on than a V-4

Not always, some are carefully contained with the exhaust pipes covering them. But yeah, most bikes are easy to work on in general beacuse of the size of the vehicle.....Cruisers also have all the wiring running through the frame....unless you have a Buell, then the frame is filled with oil.

Buells do some crazy things, like their 1200 cyclone have "floating" disc brakes. They float along pins over the rotor and when you pull the break, the pads clamp on brake, but as they are free floating they wear perfectly even....sometime ill post a picture of my pads i just replaced, one still has a little pad and the other is past the pad and working into the metal quite well

The 900s are sweet cruisers... great on gas (45-53 mpg) even 2-up, plenty of power 2-up with no issues maintaining hiway speeds, and very nimble... plus, there are so many bling possibilities these days

How on earth could I have forgotten that you have a VN900, Mike?! Shame, shame on me. You're definitely the best person here to ask about that subject.

Anyway, I'm off for now. See you donkeys later!

Don't you hate when you have to wait on people to call you back before you can continue on a project at a clients location? But in the mean time, you're stuck at that location so you can't be doing anything else for other clients while you wait???

Time for some local web design I guess. AND cruisin' Kawi forums on company time.

Mike the more you talk about the 900 the more I wish I had bought one Thought I had to have a big bike and all I got was poor fuel mileage. Oh well, what's done is done.

Eh, don't downplay yours too much. You have a sweet ride and there's a few items you can get that I'd love to but can't for the 900. Saddle bag guards are one item... they just don't make em for the 900s

Strange. Somethin they make for the 900 that they don't for the nomad is a custom option Kinda like the looks of them.

Now, I'm just the opposite. I never gave the Custom a 2nd look because of the skinny front tire. I love the beefy look of a wider front tire and it's so much more stable goin' down the road. I know a lot of folks like the Custom look, though
