Yeaaaaa... it has been a long time. I'm doing pretty good actually. The bike is still doing great. I have about 20,000 miles on her. Just recently the gas cap corroded inside the lock mechanism, so I bought Baron's Profile Gas Cap that screws on. I have to epoxy the new cap assembly on the tank this weekend. I'm getting married in a few months. Been doing good though. How have you been man?

Shhhhh Donnie... don't tell, but it's not an "official" donkey. I just grabbed one and put my pin on it for the quick meet up!

Congratulations on getting married! Hopefully she rides with you.

If the gas cap is all that has gone bad with 20k miles then you're doing ok.

Everything is good here. Just watching my Cardinals win World Series games.

Now you need to put that donkey in a dry suit and take him to an old shipwreck of the coast

Looked at the specs and 1/4 mile time for the 2012 ZX-14R. Man, what a bike. ZX-14s are supposed to be good bikes for long-distance riding, too. Add in the bone-stock 9.78-second 1/4 mile times and you've got a machine more capable than any currently-produced exotic supercar at half the cost of a V6 Mustang. Fuel economy's not the greatest, but I bet a gearing change would work wonders in that department.

Add on a set of removable hard saddlebags and a detachable trunk, and I'd bet it would be good for touring.

Motus better have a great package because my plans for the next bike were derailed by the 2012 ZX-14R.

How about the Kawasaki Concours ? It comes with hardbags and a three year warranty instead of one year.

Self-reliant, each loner swims alone through a social world—a world of teams, troops and groups that scorns and misunderstands those who stand apart. Loners know better than anyone how to entertain themselves and how to contemplate and to create. They have a knack for imagination, concentration, inner discipline, and invention—a talent for not being bored. Just sayin'................. carry on.

    I know what you mean.

I looked into that, but man, 197 horsepower on a frame nearly 100 lbs lighter than the Connie really does speak to me. Then again, I'm just power-hungry when it comes to motorcycles. Otherwise, I'd probably consider something like a Vaquero for touring.

BUT, the Vaquero is nearly 800 lbs and produces less than 80 hp. There's something...lacking...for my interests.
