After the school thing? Semper Fi til I die. I did 4 years active duty with the Marines, and then got out. Not I'm in the Marine Reserves while I go to school. I am contemplating going to become an officer after I get my degree. Either way, Re-enlist to active duty status as the computer geek that I am.

I've always been a service person. After I got out the first time, I joined the volunteer fire department in NY for a year because I loved to help those around me. When I moved back to CA, I applied for the San Diego PD and the California Highway Patrol, but ended up moving to NC before I could pursue it further. The Marines are my life though. I don't think I could ever find a similar group of family. They are...shall we say...a 'unique' bunch.

I'm getting a VN800. I just have to do a paintjob and replace a few minor things and I think I will be completely happy with it. =)
What kind of bike are you considering?

Ha! You know us...Where I live it's pretty riding weather all year long, but soon will be really hot! We're about 90 today. But, all winter it was in the 70's...

And as far as bikes....I'm actually looking at either another EX500 OR a 650R. I DON'T wanna lean too much, but with the 500 I didn't & the other day I saw someone on a 650R, with risers & it was PERFECTLY upright....I just really wanna get rid of the bigger bike payment. I can sell the Vulcan, pay back the loan & take a low interest bank loan for a cheap street bike...I don't know.

I love the Vulcan, it's a beauty..runs great. My only problem with it has been that I miss the street bike so much! I don't FEEL the cruiser as much as I FELT the 500. Does that make sense at all?

I love the Vulcan 900's. I just can't afford a new one right now. So it's the 800 for me. =)

Obviously, I can't afford it either...My guy friend actually bought it new, but then decided he wanted the FZ6. So, without even thinking I said, "Hey, I'll take over payments". But, I didn't consider everything, like my teachers budget...lol I honestly just LOVE to ride! So, if I get rid of this, and get a cheap bike to run around on, I'll be happy!

Joshua, let me make sure you understand that I would prefer NOT to go back to a 250.... What I was saying was, if it were the only thing I had the opportunity to ride, then I would...and be happy. Lol. It's never really been about the bike as much as just RIDING....I love just about all bikes.
