Thumbs up Hey hey, I am noticing a lot of new Pac. Northwesters around here.

It's good to see, maybe we can boost our numbers to the point where we can have a BTK Reunion in this little part of the world. Let's say...Mt. Vernon?

Anyway, it's good to see all the riders from BC, Washington, and Oregon showing up.

Props to the Left Coast.

I can likely pick up a few members at work. Get an awful lot of KZs, GPZs, Vulcans (all ages/sizes), ZXs, and even a few W2SS, W?TT guys coming in. Mostly from the "greater" Puget Sound area. Some from Nanaimo B.C., some as far away as Portland.I'll see about posting the board info at work.

I think the reason is that people in the Pacific Northwest have nothing better to do...

It's because we have some of the most beautiful scenery in the US and the weather is genuinly good enough to ride almost all year long. Yeah, it sucks... we have nothing better to do than ride.

More like Ren and Stimpy.

Pacific Northwesterners ride because we really DON'T have anything else to do. Fishing license is just shy of $50. Hunting license over $250 for all the available game. Too cold to swim or water ski (the bay is MAYBE 36 degrees in mid-summer). The race tracks are mostly now industrial parks or sub-divisions (chainsaw carpentry at its worst). The hiking trails are normally washed out. The ORV areas require you to license your dirt bike, ATV, 4X4, etc. State parks charge an entry fee AND a parking fee. Snow ski? $100 a day is pretty common on the west side. "Sin" taxes on cigarettes, RVs, soda, alcohol, 3/4 ton and larger trucks, 4X4s, motorcycles. It's okay if you like mountains, but seen one, you've seen them all.

It actually isn't all that bad...as long as you like to ride. Good rain gear, good tires, and a love of burnt coffee (SBC, Starbucks, etc) and you are set.

Scruffy,
I'll tell ya what else you Pac. NW'ers can do. (and yes it involves riding).
Next summer gather a few of these crazies and come north for a weekend. I am sure you can convince ole spok at the least. The water is warm, the beer is cold, the fishing is great, and we have mountains you have never seen.
Mark that calender, man.

Fishing: if I catch Ogopogo, can I keep him?
Beer: Guiness? European spec, not that watered down swill they pawn off on us down here?
Mountains: Been up in the Okanogan many a time. Wouldn't mind going back sometime.

Hmm, might need to put in now for time off this coming summer. I'm the shop's HD/bobber/chopper/vintage English guy. Primarily a vintage rice shop, but, I make them a LOT of money when they can keep me on the payroll.

Likely be an 800 Intruder tagging along. My wife has never been to B.C. Let's see, is Penticton "British Canuckistan" or "Borders Cannabinoidia (Vancouver and evirons, where it is always 4:20)"? Hey every time I've been in Vancouver, someone always offered, and said "It's 4:20 somewhere".
