I'm terrified of heights. So just to warn you all I probably won't go on the Beartooth Pass ride in Red Lodge, I'll be looking to staying where the road is a little more friendly.
I didn't realize that kind of stuff bothered you. I don't like heights (as in standing at the edge of a precipice and looking down), but I'm pretty used to mountain passes and they don't bother me too much. We ride around Horsetooth almost every time we ride. As long as there are guard rails, I don't get too excited.

I wonder, though, how I'd do on this road:

    http://www.nps.gov/blca/

I've driven over it in a car several times, but never on a bike. It has the steepest sides of any road I've ever been on--it's 2900 feet deep and has completely sheer walls, not a gradual slope like Horsetooth. Pretty spectacular, though.

My wife hates bridges. She usually closes her eyes and says, "tell me when we're over it". Of course me being the nice guy I am always tell her we're over it about 1/2 way across. Love to watch the reaction!

I love heights, norm you should try walking out onto the royal gorge bridge and looking down between the bridge deck timbers, 1056' straight down...yehaaaaaaaaaaaaw

Yeah, that's pretty cool. Especially with the wind making the bridge sway back and forth. I was going to have Deron ride across that bridge with me when he came out in September, but we never made it down there. Darn. That would have been fun--watching his reaction.

Wonder how that thing would tow behind my boat. Might be a wild ride!

Been there, and chickened out, I don't know why I got this way. I used to be an electrician, I climbed up all kinds of things, maybe its because I'm older and have learned I don't have to be over 4 ft off the ground.
