Default New home gym setup!

Pretty excited about my new home gym setup. Has most everything I need to try and get back in shape and lose these extra pounds I put on after all my heart problems. Figured that it was less expensive than our gym membership in the long run since it was costing us $110.00 a month for me, my wife, my son, and his wife, plus the cost of gas back and forth 5 - 6 days a week. Plus I like the convenience of having it right here in our home. My son lives a block away, so they can use it too. Now I have no excuses not to exercise.
. . . I guess that's a good thing!

Thanks!! That's the idea Pitch! Doubt I will ever get back to the shape I was in pre-heart problems, but if I can just lose this weight, gain some more strength and muscle tone, increase my energy level and feel good again it will be worth it! Hopefully it will help my riding stamina too. We have some pretty long trips we want to make this year.

Thanks Deron! Yeah, it will be lots of work but hopefully worth it. Maybe it will help me feel better, avoid further heart problems and even live longer!

anamositycan I ask what that particular set up cost you?
Sure Gene! I think I got a great deal on the Smith/Multi station setup at ****s Sporting Goods. MSRP is $1900.00 but they normally sold them for $1199.00. They have marked it down to $799.00!!
It has the Smith Machine for squats and bench press, the pec-deck (butterfly) for chest, high cable pulleys for lat pulldown, cross cables, tricep pushdowns and rope pulldowns, low cable pulleys for
cable pull-ups, bicep curls, etc. It has a center mounted low cable pulley for seated rows. It also has a pull-up bar on it. The multi-use bench was on sale for $199.00 (regular $279).

I found a guy who had purchased the yellow squat/bench rack, the yellow multi-use bench, and the dumbells and dumbell racks, and then decided he did not have enough room for it all. He joined a gym and sold it all for $500! Over $1800 worth of equipment.

Thats one heck of a workout room there Bama, very impressive. I bought a bench and some weights years ago. Turned out to be an expensive thing to hang my clean clothes on.

Do tell, Dave. I should have known that by your physique! The results you have gotten are obvious!
