Ok so i go to my local shop *hate it but only one around* and there are like 4 guys over by some 650r's hanging out talkin to the sales guy. First thing that surprised me was the fact they actually had a sales guy talking to them. Since last time i went in there i walked around for like 20 minutes sitting on different bikes and didn't even get a hello or a nod. Anyway i go to the parts dept order my new brake mount and decide i'll go check out some of the Vulcans they had along one side. Sweet looking bikes i want one! Anyway, as i get toward the end i come up on the 4 dudes on the 2 650r's and i hear them saying they could go in together and buy them. So i'm thinkin ok that would suck but whatever as i stare with my mouth droolin at a ZX10. I start to head out when i hear this "hey bro that your bike?" Doing the stop and turn thing i say "yeah it is" he proceeds to say "i'd kick your *** with this bike its a 650 whats yours a 600?" I wanted to laugh but instead i was like umm no actually its a 636 but i'm sure you'd totally stomp me in the twisties.. he gives me this funny look and asks what i meant by twisties.. i was like you know curves and ****.. he was like nah man anybody can do that i'm talkin about drag racin. I said tell you what you buy that bike and we'll run and see who wins.
Anyway thought it was funny and wanted to share my exp with some friends cause i'm bored as hell and hey guess what?! Post count padded! whoo-hoo! lol ![]()

Wow, just think how bad that guy could spank you on a 900 Vulcan. It's waaaaay bigger than your little 636.

Hopefully that moron won't ever get a bike because if he does, I guarantee you that he will drop or crash it riding out of the dealership's lot. He's what my insurance broker refers to as a "statistic"--if he gets his bike, we can all expect our insurance rates to up again.
Kudos for being able to just walk away from the idiot Army.

If you're ever at a red light and someone wants to race...let them. Let him think you're going to race right up to the point that the light turns green...watch him speed off and you just go merrily along your way. Confuses the he*& out of them.

i actually wouldn't doubt this in the slightest. I have no qualms about admitting i'm a novice rider only reason i'm not still a beginner is because i've exp what it feels like to drop my bike. Plus almost 10k under my belt. Besides the point, the point is i really need to find some good twisties to practice on around here.

I would never be able to show my face again. lol If it did happen i would more than likely just rev up like i was going to race him, light goes green he'd probably dump his clutch wheelie out of control into the intersection drop his bike and that would be one less moron on a bike i would have to worry about lol

I stopped by an old friends house recently that I had not talked to in ages. Since I was on my bike we got to talking bikes amongst other exciting topics and he mentioned if he got a bike he would merely want to go fast in essentially straight lines. When I left I was reminded why I don't see him too much and I hope he doesn't get a bike.
