"Kawasaki disease was named after Tomisaku Kawasaki, the Japanese doctor who first identified this disease in 1967." This is a communicable disease passed on if you sit on the motorcyle previously sat upon by a naked rider. Not really, but I thought I would resurrect an OLD topic.

Funny, my wife just last week brought home an article about the "Classic Kawasaki Disease" from the Medical School where she works.

I went thru this in 1966 or 1967. I was 12 years old I think. Massive doses of aspirin, my knees swelled up twice there size. Had to walk on crutches for some time. Missed a lot of school, no physical activity. Ended up with a heart murmur. Got over it in about 4 to 5 months. Everthing OK except I still have the heart murmur.
