If your going to do it right, 100 cal packs or not, there is absolutely NO nutritional value in that junk whatsoever.
Want a good rule of thumb? If it tastes good dont eat it, if its bland go for it.

My personal favorite is chips of cardboard with a dash of Texas Pete hot sauce. Not good nutritionally, but lots of fiber!!

I joke, but to me that's what most "healthy choices" taste like, if you add the Texas Pete. I'll stick to the fruits and raw veggies......

We've been going out a lot lately, for some reason (it seemed like we never went out when I *wasn't* dieting!). And I've been really proud of myself. I've stuck to my diet each and every time, even when there was hardly anything on the menu I could eat. I'm learning to eat a snack at home *before* we go out! LOL

We've been going out to hear music lately, too, at some local watering holes. Last time I drank tonic water with a wedge of lime, and I swear it didn't taste any different than drinking vodka and tonic! We're going out tonight to hear music, and I think I might go with the tonic water again. Woo hoo!!!

Drink unsweetend grapefruit juice and go dancing, that will burn some calories.

I've decided that my stairclimbing ritual sucks, not in that it isn't producing results, but that I already hate it, but I'm gonna stick to it.

I noticed today that I wasn't quite as winded by the end of the last staircase, so we'll see how things improve next week.
I'm hoping to add some weight training excersizes by next month. Our neighborhood rec center has an excersize room, so I might as well take advantage of it right?

I had recently been as low as 285, but the last couple of months I've soared back up over 300. My goal is to lose 50 lbs by Red Lodge.

OK,

Monday morning weigh in for me...after a sinfilled weekend on the road where I couldn't control the amount of crap in my food as if any of you have ever traveled before, you have to eat and you have to eat in resturants..

anyway, my weekend of sin (diet wise) only gained me 3 lbs. I'm back on the plan again today, hopefully my body will react kindly and shed those crappy pounds I put on

I will say that the first thing my daughter said to me was "daddy, your so skinny," not daddy, i missed you or daddy, thanks for spending big bucks to come see me or daddy, i love you sooooo much....no, she noticed the skinnier me. kinda made me feel good

Welcome back, Dave. I'm sure having fun with your daughter was worth a few pounds, and you'll lose them quickly.

I had a pretty decent weekend. Managed to get some walking in, even though the wind practically blew me off the path. I'm losing at a slow, steady pace, but I'm waiting for the big plateau, which I know is coming. That's going to test my resolve!

I wasn't all that behaved this weekend either. I had 2 cheeseburgers yesterday. But remember the belt pic a few days ago? Weeeelllllll.........had to stab another hole in it. I didn't realize it at first, but coworkers started asking if I'd lost more weight. I said, "noooo, why?" B/c I kept pulling my pants up! And what really made me feel good: my wife called me "the buttless wonder". Says it's a miracle I can keep pants on at all with "no lump back there" to hold them up. I took it as a compliment even tho I don't think she meant it that way!

My fitness trainer, at the Y, told me that when your plan starts to give out on you, it's time to vary it. What happens is that your body gets used to doing the same exercise with the same muscles, you won't see as much gain out of it. My gf had the same happen with the Gazelle, after I paid $300 for one. So, we joined the YMCA, and it wasn't 3 days after that that she dropped 3 pounds.

She's doing really good, 40 pounds so far. But, she still has a lot more to lose...her words, not mine.

Okay....I hesitate to even type this out....BUT.....I joined Nutri-System with my friend (the one that is joining the gym with me too) last night. I have lost a lot weight on the low carb diet over the years. Problem is, I have grown tired of the foods. When I now try to set up my meal plan, I falter on the weekends. Plus, I got the prescription for Chantix from my doctor Friday to quit smoking. I KNOW that will pack on some more pounds and I want to try and stop that from happening

After she and I both had another bad weekend, we got disguisted and joined!!!! My plan is for only a month to get me kick-started. Then I will prepare and plan my own healthy meals. I know, I hear the foods are the blues, but I think right now I need a structured plan....my meals aready prepared and telling me what to eat. We're still starting the gym this week too.

I hope I am not taking on too much at once
However, hubby and I are booked for Myrtle Beach Bike Week in May, and a vacation booked in Orlando, FL in June. I just CAN NOT go there hiding myself!!!!!

I'm hoping to get on Chantix tomorrow. I have an appointment with a doctor, whom I hope I will continue to be able to see after tomorrow. My old PCP is a quack, and her immediate reaction to anything is send me to a specialist. I don't mind specialists, but it got a bit excessive, IMO. So...I need a new doc that knows a little more about medicine than just sending me someplace else.

That stated....You can do it. Personally, I have found that you can beat anything, with the proper help and motivation.

Good luck with the Chantix, you guys. I hope it works well for you. You both deserve Kudos for doing this!

Thanks, Julie. I'm just hoping that it'll work. This will make the 3rd time trying. And, honestly, the first two weren't good. I'm hoping that my new doctor and i can figure it out tomorrow. We have a few issues to discuss, so we'll have to see how that goes. LOL
