I also believe they make all these different ones to force us to buy their cards (speaking of Sony they don't have any generic cards you have to buy theirs) because they know we have some but if we want their camera we have to spend more money on their stuff.. Its all very frustrating.

and definatly the THRUXTON or the T100 both are very nice.
Hell, even a lot of the high end DSLRs are starting to get away from CF cards. The D80 uses SD! So if I want to upgrade eventually, I won't even be able to use the memory that I already have.

A black Triumph Thruxton tops the list at the moment. I've already bought almost every Kawasaki I've wanted (with a few exceptions). Always liked the Thruxton. Classic looks does it for me. I don't like modern looking bikes. They all look the same.

I think once I get some skills under my belt from a 250R/500R I'll probably purchase a Tornado Red Thruxton. I love the look and it's actually a fairly reasonable price tag at $7999. The whole bike just look so awesome. (I, too, love the look of classic bikes, and I'm 18, which is quite funny in my opinion)

I hear people say stuff about vehicles all the time and I don't understand it. Of course they all look the same. All vehicles from each era look very similar. It's been going on for years. From the time the first Model A rolled off the line, car makers have been copying each other. In the 40's it was curves. In the 50's it was fins and chrome. In the 60's it it was the boxy muscle car. In the 70's, it was the econobox. It continues on. It's the same with bikes.

While car enthusiasts may be able to tell the difference between bikes and cars of years past, most people wouldn't be able to if they didn't have the badges on them. Even with bikes, it's hard to tell a Norton from a Royal Enfield unless you really know bikes.

The thing is, we have more car and bike models than we ever had before. With cars, the reason they look the way they do now is about aerodynamics. Right now, the current designs are the latest technology for cutting throught the air. While future cars will become sleeker, science has pretty much found the right balance between passenger space and low wind resistance. As a result, there are only so many variations you can create that follow those rules.

Bikes are the same. You can only change so much before you throw off the blance, make them uncomfortable to ride, or reduce performance.

This is a similar theme I hear with movies. People always say the stuff today pales in comparison to older movies. While in some cases that's true, Hollywood has made crap for decades. We just only remember the good stuff decades later. The crap just goes away into oblivion. Years from now, we'll be saying they don't make movies like they did in 2007.

The old bikes only look different because there aren't as many still out there. If every bike ever made were still on the road, we wouldn't see that contrast like when an old bike pops up after not seeing one in a long time - or even ever.

Too many bikes, so little time. My list is subject to change before I finish this post.

1.) Still debating on whether to grab this toward the end of this riding season

2.) I coulda had one of these, but went with the 6R instead

3.) A tie for 3rd place

There just can't be one perfect bike....It can't beeeeeeeeeeeeeeee done!!!

But I'd like an old:
1970's era 750cc Kawasaki Triple 2 stroke.

Ducati 1098
New Connie

My V2K is a work in progress, I love it, but I'd love another 40 HP for her too...

I think my problem is I haven't ridden enough different bikes to narrow it down to just one or two.
