Default Your dream bike

OK this has probably already been asked, but I'll ask it any ways. I would like to know if money were no object and you could find it without problems what would your dream bike be? For those of you who have already found your bike because money is no object for you or you worked your tail off to buy it new or put your sweat, blood, and tears into resorting an oldie to its former glory. Lets see it. Thanks..

Mine would be to find an old KZ900 and make a Rickman clone or just find an original Rickman. I have a KZ440 and its as close to my dream as I have gotten so far but there will come a day when I have a KZ900 in my garage.

Well, probably either a Ducati sportbike or a BMW sportbike/sport tourer.

My favorite Ducati is their new bike, the 1098S tricolore:

My favorite BMW sportbike is the K1200S black and yellow:

BMW also makes touring versions of the K1200 that are sweet as heck. I would probably buy the sport touring in the end because it would be peppy but comfortable.

The BMW K1200GT sport touring bike:

I'm having trouble finding something I "don't" like about my current ride - so I guess you could say I'm already on my dream bike.

And yes, that's me on a 294 mile "lunch" ride today. Had to make a run to the coast for seafood.

The bike is powerful, quick, fast, beautiful, comfortable, and pretty much draws a crowd where ever it goes.

Smile Rossi's M1, of course.

I like the livery they ran at Valencia in 2005.

No clue. I guess my parents raised me right. Naw, I guess I would just get the most logical/useful bike I could if I could get anything. That would be a BMW sport tourer. Comfortable, fast enough, and can be used on long trips. And it's a Beemer, so it's got shaft drive (which most tourers do) and it would last a long time because it's not as high-revving as other bikes, so it requires less work. I guess I really don't care about speed because I'm not one to show off and/or I don't really trust myself going 180mph [actually, I don't trust deer -- we've been in a deer accident with a minivan before going 60, and I can only imagine what 180 would do to me with no protective shell + deer. I mean, that sucker crunched the whole hood in on a van...].

Bottom line, I don't know why I wouldn't want a crotch rocket. I just ... don't I guess. I like Beemers and I like tourers cuz they make sense. Not Goldwing style, but more sporty like that K1200GT.

I'm lucky, building it now. Thought I'd better before I get too old to enjoy it.

Like Cary and Keith said, I'm already on my dream bike, which just so happens to be yours jc. it is everything you imagine...for your viewing pleasure and vicarious enjoyment.

A before shot

a during shot

They even wheelie (not me, but I do power wheelie it regularly in 1st and 2nd gear)

You can even add bling to a beemer

The object of jc's desires...

Plays well with others

Welcomed in other galaxies

Seriously jc, it's a great bike, my daily commuter and as you know it doesn't get any better on trips. It's light for a touring bike (500lbs dry), so it never feels ponderous like a wing or an LT does around town. And personally, for me, it's gotta be a twin, 4 cylinders just don't do anything for me, even though they have awesome power and acceleration.

Who wants to ride today?

Even though I have a few great bikes to ride, there's always another one that catches your eye. Having just sold 2 dirt bikes and a quad, there's some room in the garage... so here's the object of my desire
