are you staying in the hospital overnight? how long are you going to be down? ive had knee surgery five times on one knee so i know what you re going through. we are here if ya need us!! and just think ya get good painpills while you are down

It's just knee arthroscopy, but I have two pretty large meniscus tears and a cyst all in my right knee

I'm only going to be away from work for a week. In fact, my doctor thinks I'll bounce right back quickly!!! I'll have physical therapy for a few weeks, but he thinks I'll be walking again by Monday

Boy, you all make it sound so simple....I wish I felt the same way....
I'm sitting here now taking off ALL jewelry and removing nail polish as instructed

Pretty soon I won't be able to eat or drink for the night.... It's all getting here TOO DARN FAST!!!!!!

just remember that once you get there in the am and you start getting nervous, tell them and they can give you something to calm you down... its what i have done when i started getting nervous in the past

Best of luck with that, feel better asap. At least the riding season is over.

A guy I work with had similar knee surgery and felt comfortable after a couple of day to walk without a cane... with pain pills of course.

DARN!!!!

I just realized reading through this thread, that I am NOT portraying the big bad biker lady image!!! I am showing what a big sissy and scaredy cat I really am!!!

You know, my co-workers spent all day coming into my cubicle and giving me big hugs and well wishes. I had several tell me I would be in their prayers. One co-worker told me she gave my name last night in church for prayers. Another co-worker took my hands and said a very nice prayer for me out loud. So, tonight I was telling Chaz how moving it was all day to have so many people show concern and told him about the hugs and prayers....well, he broke out laughing so hard!!!!! He kept saying, "But honey, it is only arthroscopy!!!! Why is everybody acting like you are having major life-threatening surgery?" Well, I told him that's just how terrified I have looked all week!!!!!
