    Lightbulb Good Biker Music

The weather here in Southern, Calif. has finally cleared up, and tomorrow it's time for some riding under blue skies.

Wanted to know if anyone has any motorcycle music favorites? Nothing like listening to some good tunes before you go riding. Here are a few I can think of:

-The SmileNJack Band's Pacific Coast Highway (This SONG ROCKS!)

-Motley Crue, Girls Girls Girls and Wild Side

    -Anything by Steppenwolf...

-The Doors, Riders on the Storm

I don't consider Bob Seger in the metal head catagory..

I agree with all of what Whiste posted, most of what Meanie posted alot of what ispeed posted and a few more of my own

    Rush - Anything
    Pink Floyd - Anything
    Iron Maiden - OH YEAH
Judas Priest - most anything for heavy grinding
    Ozzy and or Black Sabboth...
Johnny Winters - gotta love that hard rock blues

Oh, you gotta go with some hard funk like the Gap Band, Cameo, the Isley Brothers, etc. "If you ain't bouncin', you ain't ridin'" (okay, I made that up, but . . .).

    I kinda like:
-Big Sugar for those guitar blues days,
-Crystal Method for the techno trance beat,
-old Iron Maiden or ACDC for my metal intake,
-Jane's Addiction for new style hard rock,
-and always Jimmy Buffett to calm me down and cheer me up.

Since I'm from Texas, it'd be a shame I didn't mention a good honky-tonk song can do the trick. For those of you that hate country music, check out these lyrics sung by George Strait on "Kawboys Like Us" (okay, it's actually "Cowboys"):

I take off time to time
With those crazy friends of mine
    Head out on steel horses
    With wheels and we ride

We burn up that road to old Mexico
    Blend in with the desert
    Just we amigos
    And we roll

    Chorus:
Cowboys like us sure do have fun
Racin’ the wind, chasin’ the sun
Take the long way around back to square one
Today we’re just outlaws out on the run
There’ll be no regrets, no worries and such
    For cowboys like us

We talk about livin’, babies, and women
All that we’ve lost and all we’ve been givin’
We sing about true love, lie about things we ain’t done
Drink one more cold one, come mornin’ get up
    And we roll

I have alot of country also and it's on my MP3. Just more selective with it since I grew up on country.

you know, the amount of times i have sung that song while in the truck or at home, i never really listened to the words i was singing. puts it all into perspective seeing them on the screen !

I think I have around 5 gigabytes of MP3's which would include alot of music. I was just helping get the listing started.

quite a bit of the music listed is on my playlists...

i'll listen to a lot of everyhting, but mostly country or classic rock.

i have to say, the song that get's me psyched and ready to ride, as well as into trouble, is the long version of in-a-gadda-da-vida, iron butterfly. nothing like beating out the drum solo on the tank at a stoplight.
